There are two possible results:
1. Funding Successful: If the project has met or surpassed our minimum funding goal, we will begin pre-production.
2. Funding Unsuccessful: If we do not meet our minimum funding goal, all pledges will be returned to you.
Although our goal is to reach $2 million, we can confidently produce a quality film for $200,000. Many independent films are produced for budgets this size. A lower budget does not jeopardize the quality of the film. It simply requires us to be more frugal, eliminating the cost of some union crew, A-list cast member salaries and other expenses associated with bigger productions. We'd prefer the larger budget to attach the best people possible and fully intend to continue to raise money but will begin pre-production at the minimum level.
Your pledge will be returned to you. If it's been over 60 days since your pledge, your pledge will be returned to you minus a 2.9% processing fee. This fee is a result of the Paypal Service. We're sorry for the inconvenience and will do whatever we can to refund your full amount. However, it may take more than 60 days to reach our goal. We do, however, confidently intend to reach our goal with your help!
To make a pledge to Machine Man, click the "DONATE NOW" button on any page. You will be asked to fill in your pledge amount. From there, you will go through the Paypal checkout process. Note: you must finish the Paypal checkout for your pledge to be completed.
Paypal processes all the pledges from the Machine Man website. When you decide to make a pledge, we'll quickly send you to the Paypal payment page to confirm. If you have a Paypal account this takes only a few clicks. If you don't have a Paypal account, Paypal will ask you to register- it's painless.
No. Only you and the project creator will be able to see your pledge amount. You will receive a Thank You on our website. If you do not want your name displayed on our site, please click the pledge ANONYMOUSLY button.
Madison Films will only see your contact info, your pledge amount and the incentive you've selected, if applicable. We do not see any credit card of financial information.

We'll send you an email when funding ends, no matter the outcome.
We use the Paypal Payment Service, which DOES allow for you to pay by credit card. You simply need to complete the form. It just takes a few seconds and is completely safe.
No. There are no fees charged to you. All credit card processing fees paid to Paypal for their services will be deducted from your pledge and are a cost to the production, not to you. If you decide to cancel your pledge and request a refund after your credit card has been processed, you may incur a fee. If the production is cancelled because we didn't hit our minimum goal, we will refund your pledge minus the Paypal service fee, if it's over 60 days since you pledged.

All money collected for this production will be used for the production. This just means more money to hire a bigger star or higher more qualified production staff. We will continue to accept pledges until we end production.

No we are not. Our intention is to make a profit from the production of this film. Our strength is storytelling, our passion is for people and our hearts go out to those suffering with OCD. Therefore when profits are seen from this production, partial proceeds of the film will be going to the International OCD Foundation .
Most will not be distributed until the film is wrapped and all the editing is completed. We won't have all the marketing materials finalized until then nor will we have a copy of the soundtrack or film ready to distribute. All incentives which require your participation will be scheduled with you via a production assistant. We will contact you and coordinate your availability.
If the project has been successfully funded, we will query you for whatever information we need to deliver all incentives to the correct address. You will be notified by email and an on-site message with the subject "Action Needed."
"Project Updates" will be listed on the website and updated regularly. We will also be contacting you via email when something significant has occurred. ie: scheduling dates, casting announcements, screening times, etc.
Pre-Production is the process of preparing all the elements involved in making a film. This includes but is not limited to scouting locations, casting, hiring crew, scheduling, renting equipment and many other elements associated with a film production.
